"Oh, this recovery isn't strong enough. Oh, jobs aren't being created fast enough." What's their standard of comparison? The late-90's, i.e. the dot-com bubble. That's not a valid comparison unless you want to see another bubble inflate and burst. The comparison has been made to the recovery under Clinton. Due to increases in productivity, job creation was delayed in both recovery expansions when compared to prior recoveries. It is believed the increased productivity is due to the intro of computers in the day to day operations of most businesses during the '90s. Thus most economists are reluctant to compare the Bush recovery with any other recovery except the one under Clinton. And when they do, it falls rather short when it comes to job creation and the quality of those jobs. And this discussion is not just some partisan tangent or simple excuse to nitpick. The more jobs created in the economy, the better off we all are.....less money paid out to social programs, less crime, less robberies, etc. The debate between Cody and Barry is very interesting, though. Not to mention that each of them have a following. Yeah, I don't quite get that match up. Cody is this 'cool dude' type who thinks he pees cologne whereas Barry is kind of 'cool' nerd that presents a conservative appearance but who is well spoken and at times pushes the envelope. Cody isn't stupid but he's like the male version of Paris which is bad enough on a woman but on a man, its very hard to bear. Between his arrogant, flippant tone when he writes and his record for some bad calls in the stock market, it seems Cody gets a lot of hate mail. He blames it on the emailers personal anger.........he can't imagine himself having done anything to contribute to that anger. He may not be dumb but he's not the sharpest tool in the shed either. ;-)
