I base my understanding of Gore not running on personally meeting him and talking to two of his closest confidantes. Plus the fact he's denied he's running 3-4 times to the press. If he were running he'd be cagey and leave it open. He's not. Today he offered the reason. He just doesn't like politics, and he really loves his present lifestyle. Plus he's fixated on global warming which is not the kind of issue you can take on the campaign trail. I heard the same kind of thing from him when I met him, and hung around near him listening in on his conversations to others. He did not strike me as the kind of guy who wants anything to do with a big political career.
