Re: K8 spent its first few quarters as a server only part. But it was well beyond 30% within 8 quarters, anyway.

If yields were great then there should have been no reason for the late A64 launch. After all even a April 2003 launch for A64 would have been a year behind schedule.

My 8 quarters statement probably was off. K8 should have reached 30+% in 7 quarters. I didn't include the K8 Semprons which started getting popular near the end of 2004.
