Variety of reasons.

Golf, under the weather, looking at other markets to trade and of course we all get tired of reading & posting from time to time.

With respect to the gold & silver markets I haven't done much of anything over the past week. Nothing to do, really. Just wait.

I was telling Jack that I was considering trading Energy, Currencies and other metals but it seems like Gold and to some extent Silver are proxies for all of that. If the Dollar drops logically Gold, Energy and Currencies will rise.

Just which currencies is the question. The DX is based on a basket of 6 currencies.

So for the moment my thoughts are to reposition the stock portfolios away from more traditional equities while waiting to some sustained direction in Gold.

stick around till we get this thing back above 700

Anyway, recall that when it rose from the 680ish level to the 730 level I wasn't even in this country. Perhaps what this market needs is for me to take another trip.
