<The gay marriage issue is EXACTLY like the segregation issue just a bit more sophisticated.>

Not.

<There is no choice involved in homosexuality, so why would our society deny them the same rights all other people desire. Marriage.>

Maybe because:

1 a (1) : the state of being united to a person of the opposite sex as husband or wife in a consensual and contractual relationship recognized by law.

2.) Because since (as you say) there is no choice involved... it's like being born blind... why can't they accept a cane?

3.) If Gay people would push for a definition of and then status of the term 'Gay Marriage', or "Gay Uniion", or the less special "Unconforming Marriage" and laws with those names... no doubt they could get them passed.

Summation: It's the Gay movements unwillingness to accept their specialness and need to force their wants on groups in society like Churches, which is a big factor in their trouble in getting equal rights. In other words they don't really WANT fair and equal treatment with respect to laws, heathcare, etc... they want to CHANGE the long standing meaning and actual definition of "being married" to include them.

They should take a cue from the women's libers who tried to shut down all the men's clubs.... fagetaboutit! Move on.
