Anyone can see from the Laws (below) that the exile wasn't intended as a vacation. But as it happens, most Jews no longer keep these laws and, in fact, do regard the exile as a vacation. Moreover, the religion has been "reverse engineered" as if the Messiah did come and lead the Jews to the Promised Land. Such is Hollywood -- where one can believe anything one wishes.

>>613 mitzvot (or 613 Commandments. Hebrew: ???"? ????? transliterated as Taryag mitzvot; TaRYaG is the acronym for the numeric value of "613".) In Judaism there is a tradition that the Torah (i.e. the "Pentateuch") contains 613 mitzvot (mitzvot in Hebrew means "commandments", from mitzvah - ???? -- "precept", plural: mitzvot; from ???, tzavah- "command").

According to the main source, of these 613 commandments, 248 are mitzvot aseh ("positive commandments") and 365 are mitzvot lo taaseh ("negative commandments"). 365 corresponded to the number of days in a solar year and 248 was at that time believed to be the number of bones or significant organs in the human body.<<

Clearly, the Christian religion differs from this interpretation in that Jesus is regarded as the Messiah, which the Jewish religion does not, and therefore the Promised Land has presumably been "given" to those descendants of Abraham who have been circumcised. Thus the State of Israel might suit the beliefs of the Christians but in terms of the Jewish religion it is not permitted.

Excuse me. Please explain how is it exactly that the "State of Israel" suits Christians?

The banishment from the Promised Land was intended as a punishment not a vacation on the French Riviera or in Miami. And it wasn't passive either, the Jews were instructed to follow many laws and behave in a certain way --- and only then, IF they did what they had to, the Almighty in His wisdom MIGHT decide to redeem them.

Forgive my being blunt, but you have wrought more confusion.

First of all, the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. Christ the Lord will most assuredly redeem anyone (including Jews) who believe upon Him.

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10.13)

Just don't presume that the Jews are saved in a different sort of manner than everyone else. All men must come through Jesus Christ to be redeemed.

The Jews cannot be saved by adherence to the old Mosaic Law, which has been done away with, having been supplanted by the New Covenant.
