The Iraqis are just trying to survive during a lawless civil war. Just today 50 Iraqis were kidnapped at a bus stop by insurgents posing as cops. Those people might be taken out and massacred. What kind of life can you live when you can't even to go a bus stop without fearing for your life?

This kind of stuff goes on every single day over there.
Our troops are mainly garrisoned, except for the poor guys who have to go out on patrols. And you know what their main job is? To be bait. To wait until they're fired at then try to find out where the shots came from and retaliate. No wonder they flip out and kill everyone in sight once attacked. But what good does it do? Very often they kill the wrong people. Including women and children.

There is no way we can win or "complete the mission" anymore. We will be lucky to get out of there without losing 50,000 killed and badly wounded. This is a disaster. And it may cost us a trillion dollars, enough to fix Social Security for the next 75 years.
