Right, one way or another, they will sell it. Getting inventory down is an issue for them, but I don't see it as the biggest potential source of a writeoff.

What I meant is that Intel is in chaos. They hired 3,400 just last Q and now an even bigger layoff is rumored. They're all living in fear and selling out their colleagues to save themselves, but the current management that got them in this fix will remain intact. It would be best for Intel to do the layoff and write off everything they can in one Q to put all this behind them. To the extent that they avoid or delay biting the bullet, it's great for AMD and lousy for Intel employees and investors.
