My experiment shows that it is state dependent. Meaning that how I edit a posting affects how it is displayed.

I haven't had had a chance to finish investigating. Subject.aspx looks like it is display the full title which suggests that you are not updating the title on edits.

EDIT: Looks like Sun has already figured that out. I'd be willing to bet that it's on edit-after-post, and not edit-during-post. I'll consider this one to be in your court.
