JF, the point is that eventually we'll get out of Iraq and Afghanistan, but we'll always have social entitlement programs. Besides, defense and Homeland security isn't more than 25-33% of the federal budget, depending on whether you include Social Security or not. You still haven't answered, what do you think will happen when we have to start paying down the debt? Some tough choices will have to be made, but by then we'll already be in crisis mode.
