barringer, You must have flunked ancient history, and geology. It is a proven fact that swings in global temperature have pestered the planet every since it cooled off from the period of molten rock surface of the earth. Extremely high temperatures, and droughts have happened many times, and then the opposite has followed as the ice ages froze a significant portion of the planet.

Just one example is that during an ice age, what is now Florida was 150 miles wider, and the rest of the Gulf coast was 100 miles farther south into what is now the watery gulf of today. The ancient inhabitants could have almost walked from Florida to Mexico without getting their feet wet. The geological evidence is clear on this.

Now, tell me how humans caused such phenomenons with only the smoke from their cooking fires.
