"china is polluting like hell...." Yep. Real bad. Among the worst in the world. And it's costing them. The most recent estimate I've seen was that their industrial pollution was costing them around $220 Billion a year in extra health care costs, higher mortality, lower worker productivity, lower crop yields, etc. (Probably that's why the government there claims to be finally getting serious about the huge problem they have allowed to grow unaddressed thus far, incorporating tightened standards & penalties into their new 'five year plan', etc....) "and they are exempt from Kyoto." Yep... but, I predict, not for long.

It is NOT "China polluting like hell". it is multinational corporations using China as a base for their OWN polluted manufacturing!! China is only guilty of not to enforce strict environmental law, and SEND those foreign companies back to their own land to pollute!
