I think there should be (and probably will be soon) a law passed that enshrines the following apparently widely held principles:

1. the word gay is to be used henceforth in all literature to mean solely, "joyful, carefree and lighthearted" as in the expected feelings of an innocent child carrying a basket of flowers, while skipping to their grandmother's house.

2. the word queer henceforth is to mean, "odd, strange or peculiar". or as a verb, "to spoil, or make fail."

3. A pansy is herein and henceforth a common non perennial flower.

4. A fruitcake is a Christmas cake.

5. marriage is legal, tolerable and may only entered into by maximum two people who are each demonstrably different from the other in sex by, variously, a) outward appearance, b) biological sexual differentiation that could cause species reproduction, c) chromosomal dominance that equates to the normal for the respective sex, and d)a suitable religious commitment that upholds common values espoused by a major recognized religious group towards such matters that affect the institution.

6. the term to legally distinguish those not inclined, for whatever reason, towards what is termed and commonly accepted as heterosexuality, shall be "base perversion" and those who are inclined to practice such sexuality, "base perverts". In the event that such inadvertent inclination provably does not violate in practice any of the regulations herein, the term of distinction shall be "abnormally adapted persons of doubtful sexual inclination"

DAK it's the words... no matter if they had more rights... it's the words... just like in the school yard when you got to say nyeah nyeah...

Personally I'm pi$$ed that I cannot call myself a female and have equal rights so that I can go to female only swims they have up here now in public pools... So females can swim without men lusting after them... of course they still have the problem of some women...

If they had male only also that would be fine... I'm tired of all those women lusting after me... makes me uncomfortable... and it's against my religion ...

Don't get him started on religion now... :o)

Must be a slow day in the gold market...

Al

EDIT... let me say that is the Canadian experience IMHO... Gays appear to have it tougher in the US still...
