Since you ask a lot of questions and answer them yourself, I will attempt to reply with questions but will not answer them myself.

Who used the term "axis of evil" and included Iraq and Iran?

Who marched into Iraq with a false pretext?

How could Iran be guaranteed that the nation accusing them to be part of the "axis of evil" would not walk into their country like they did in Iraq?

What could Iran do to protect themselves from the nation which branded them as "the axis of evil"?

When have you seen the stock market not tank in face of a threat of turmoil?

The market is going down because America's economic future looks grim. At least in the medium term.

This despite Bush's tax code boosting corporate profits. Problem is, they don't trickle down to the consumers who drive the economy, at least nowhere near enough. Instead the rich are getting richer and everyone else is feeling the pinch.

Bush's borrow and spend now/pay later is and has always been unsustainable, like a big party with a fat hangover to follow. The hangover can now be seen coming sooner rather than later.

Of course the quagmire war and rampant out of control energy gouging has also caught up with the economy. Consumers now find themselves heavily in debt, with flat wages, few benefits and little security. They also have little faith in their government. It's basically a big bubble and it's starting to burst. The tax cut party is all but over.
