They would never admit it, but PJ O'Rourke and Al Franken are mirror images, bright comics with a different subjective view of politics but pretty much aware how full of crap most pols are no matter where they come from.

Ann COULTER, Mark Steyn, etc have way too much bile to be humorous, as you pointed out.

There are lots of people who find them very funny. I have found each of them funny at times although I avoid reading them because I find nasty rants distasteful.

I think the comments here about them being funny is more a function of agreement/disagreement than funny/unfunny.
