I'm not sure what will happen in either quarter yet. AMD's flat to slightly down guidance was pretty conservative given the longer quarter. While there may be some price cutting for OEMs, AMD retail prices (in the US) haven't moved much so far. I'd say chances are better than 50/50 that AMD will meet or beat Q2 guidance.

The bigger risk for AMD is in Q3 with NGA ramping up. It is difficult to determine how much NGA business will simply be replacing Netburst Xeon/Pentium/Core Duo sales versus how many sales AMD would actually lose to NGA. We also don't know when or how deep the AMD price cuts will be.

By INTC? Certainly not AMD as AMD'll will surely surpass Q2 consensus of $0.29 handily and, very likely surpass $1.5B in revenues in Q3.
