I'd bet that most women dress like that because they are threatened or intimidated. Do they dress like that because they are told they are too desirable? Are they told they are too ugly? Are they told they are too unclean? Are they told they are too evil to look upon in the most basic form of creation?

I think they feel humiliation and are humiliated if a man sees more than just a tiny bit of their eye. Humiliated if they even think of appearing in public without their black cape and with an escort or in the company of several others of their own kind.

As a woman, I have a hard time believing that they could be so ashamed of who they are, of their actual physical being, or that they wouldn't throw all of that nasty tradition away and chuck those rags given the chance. I am well aware that they will never be given that chance as long as they remain ensconced in a world where time has stopped.
