Just posted an update on the blog and I noticed this evening that gold appears to have held up at a hidden pivot in the 622 area and now rallying. Could this be it? Lots of down trending resistance and everyone I talk to is very cautious. Perhaps time to be bold...

Wade,

My guess is .25 with some extra long-winded jawboning about inflation headwinds. I expect they will tweak the inflation data before the June meeting to be just over their line of comfort, allowing them maximum flexibility to do what they want at the next FOMC.

<<Will he raise the rate by 0.5%? LOL>>

That may be why he made the comments
In the past the Fed has usually signalled the end of these long tightening cycles with a raise of 50 bps. If they did that and then said very clearly that they were on pause it may please both the bond and the equity market.
