What idiot in 1968 wouldn't see volunteering for Vietnam military service as the same as volunteering for some form of combat or violent danger?

If you were in the military would you volunteer for Iraq now and not expect to be in harm's way and shot at? Same deal with Vietnam in 1968 except worse since there were no green zones.

Bush specifically said "no way" to Vietnam, Kerry said "yes please". Huge difference. No one can dispute that. Then look at what a combat hero Kerry was. Amazing. No one who considers himself a patriot can question Kerry's military service and heroism in any way. or else they are just plain dishonest, dishonorable hypocrites and liars. Which sadly, many Bushies are.

What do you debate about? ALL soldiers that served in Vietnam were disgusting cowards....not patriots. The heors were the ones who stood up for what was right and went to jail or Canada, I remind you that America lost that war at home and abroad. Iraq will end the same way, with Americans running.
