I am no expert on performance. Other people here post plenty about that. I don't have anything worthwhile to add.

posts about costs, inventory, and capacity are few, and I think they are important issues in predicting what the stocks will do.

regarding inventory, Intel has to be serious about burning off their old inventory, otherwise we'll see the scenario that Pete has outlined.

I thought Intel would have enough sense to stop making unsellable chips in q1. It is possible the reason those chips went unsold was because of shortage of chipsets. So maybe that was excusable. There is still some excuse in q2, if they made one last big batch, and made the chips end-of-life. But if I get the sense that Intel thinks it is a good idea to keep making chips that can't be sold, then I'll have to admit that I bet on an out-of-touch management team and accept the loss.
