Don't count on it. We had our Bush-like spenders a few years ago in Trudeau and Mulroney and have been paying the price since. Our debt, per capita, is still horrendous. Thank goodness, at least, that we are running a large trade surplus and should for some time to come. Oil and gas keep a lot of Canadians working at high wages that fill the gov't coffers.
