There is no reason that a small jewish state cant live side by side. How about the fact that 90% of the population of the neighboring countries don't want you there? That's a pretty big reason. America is democratic. If the population of Israel and the population of each country that borders Israel voted on whether or not Israel should exist, the "no" vote is going to win by about 20 to 1. That's what you would call a democratic landslide mandate from the people. Of course, the Israelis don't really care much about the Arabs vote in that referendum.....
