Re: If Intel sells a 1.66 GHz Core 2 Duo, it's an indication that the chip can't meet 35w power specs at 2 GHz. Otherwise why not sell it as 2 GHz?

It would be smart to sell Core 2 Duo at 1.66GHz whether it has heat problems or not. It will be 2-3 speed grades faster than 1.66GHz Yonah and have 64-bit support. It will be as fast or faster than a 2GHz Turion X2. It is best for Intel if they sell it cheap and drive Turion X2 ASPs into the ground while offering even faster speed grades at higher prices.

I suppose that 2GHz Turion X2 is already breaking the 35W barrier considering AMD is selling lowly 1.6GHz Turion X2s. After all, why wouldn't AMD sell them all at 2+GHz if heat wasn't a problem?

You can't actually believe something this stupid, right?
