Zarqawi is dead. UBL's ally in Iraq is no longer a threat. Who will step up?

Typical of you folks, the Ann Coulterish approach of holier than thou. YOu think that we are idiots to believe that more than 50% of the Iraqis support the actions of Bush in Iraq and believe that Iraq is on the right track when we see that those same Iraqis turn around and support the insurgents.

What are you going nuts that you accuse all those who disagree with the poll propaganda put out by the Bush White House are unpatriotic?

>>Re: "The best poll to me is the cooperation that the insurgents are receiving from the local people resulting in their being on top today."

How could you write that without noting that you think it's terribly sad that the murderous insurgents get any help from locals at all?

Too sick, IMHO. Instead, you leave us to feel that news of local help for the insurgents is simply "the best" to you. When insurgents get local help, I'm sure they feel the same way.<<

Dan -

Oh, please. That's like saying that if I mention the Holocaust without saying I deplore Hitler's actions, I must be in support of them.

It's clear that the writer only meant to say that the Iraqi people's actions are a better indication of their true feelings toward us than any poll results.

You're judging people based on groundless assumptions you have made about them.

Dan B, retract your slander that those who don't support Bush's war have "a lot in common with our enemies". By saying such evil things, you are not only very dishonest, but un-Christian, un-American and just plain ignorant.

Now we all celebrate this very rare bit of good news from Iraq and say bravo to our troops, but there are no more Zarqawi's to kill. There was just one. Now Bush has a great excuse to start doing the right thing and bringing our troops home, as well as sending some of them to Afghanistan where things are deteriorating.

It's an unwinnable civil war quagmire in Iraq for our troops and they have paid far too high a price already. So have we taxpayers. Now let's follow the wise advice of Murtha and Kerry and end this disasterous war on a bright note. Our trops can remain nearby in case of emergencies, but time for Iraqis to secure their own country. Enough is enough. And the vast majority of Americans agree.

Zarqawi is dead. Bush used Zarqawi as his #1 excuse for prolonging the war and occupation. He told us that if we "cut and run" Zarqawi would take over. So now Zarqawi is gone. What excuse does Bush have left?

Time to begin to bring our guys home and let the Iraqis manage their own country. We'll be nearby if they're ever in serious trouble.

Dan, the rightwing can't have it both ways. You guys said Zarqawi was the #1 reason for staying in Iraq. Now he's gone. So now are you goijg to join us to call for withdrawls and redeployment so some of our beleaguered troops can get a good long rest and we can start rebuilding out battered military?

Also, remember every dollar spent in Iraq is debt spending. We still haven't paid off Vietnam and this spending is going right on top of that to create the largest national debts in the history of the planet. Some 13 trillion in all if the forecasts are right, and it looks like they are.

One good piece of news though, large estates will continue to be taxed. That is critical to maintaining fiscal balance in this country.
