Yep, all true.

(My only point was that --- from the point-of-view of evolution --- 'adaptation' only refers to effective changes to DNA, to germ plasm lines. I.E., changes that are passed on to future generations. Any physical changes that only affect individuals, and not their genetic inheritance, do not directly bear on the process of evolution.)

Believe we are not in disagreement.
