<Selig must again put foot down>

Selig has neutralized himself with his lack of leadership. Notwithstanding all the bargaining positions from the unions, blood testing in general can be tricky - it yields so many false-positives. I assuming there is a definitive test for HGH?

If he comes out for blood testing, he has to test everyone within the frequency that a test could be bullet proof...once a month, every two months, etc...whatever accurately would reflect results.

If I were him, I would line up all my ducks and announce the testing, frequency, and declare that everyone will be tested. This would demand that the unions react to him and be instantly in a deficit position in public opinion.

Then, how will the other rampant drug problem be handled (amphetamines). It sure as hell will show up in the blood tests! Maybe all the players will have to go back to booze and cigarettes to keep them going for those 80 - 100 games.
