I don't remember you being anti-American. I'd like Peter to produce posts to back his position if he claims that. I believe you were against the Iraq war. So were a great many Americans. You're an atheist. So am I. So are a large number of American posters. (BTW, welcome to the war. I think Canada just got dragged in.) I thought religious freedom was a founding principal of both countries. If the religious believers are willing to leave me alone, I will do the same for them.

There are differences between the countries. You have nationalized medical care. So does Britain, generally referred to as our best ally. So do most European democracies and Australia

Canada is an ally of ours. It's a member of NATO and NORAD. I've been in Canada numerous times and found the people generous and helpful. I didn't see any anti-Americanism.

We are each other largest trading partners. There are occasional disputes between the two countries, such as the soft lumber dispute, but in general the countries get along pretty well. Both are first-world Western democracies. Both require their police forces and governments to act within constraints set by constitutions. Technically, Britain is a monarchy and Canada retains vestiges of its prior colonial government, but the monarch reigns but does not rule.

I probably know and disagree with you as much as anybody, but I have to agree with you on this one.

I find your posts offensive. You continue to prove the point.
"jackanapes like Peter "

...

"I have NEVER been other than pro American."

You have posted that you are pro Socialist. America is a place where capitalism thrives. Each round of Socialists in American history have striven to disassemble the freedoms that have made America great. One of those freedoms is the freedom to receive recompense for innovation, efficiency or just dumb luck when a company has a superior product.
