Bush controls all the rightwing smear campaigns. Rove works for Bush and Rove controls every political aspect of the GOP rightwing's activities during election seasons. Bush is responsible for the South Caroline 2000 smears against McCain, the 2002 smears against Cleland and the 2004 smears against Kerry. He is also responsible for recent smears against Murtha and Joe Wilson. If you're telling me Bush has no control over Rove, and that Rove has no control over his political attack dogs, you're just being plain dishonest. People like Hannity and Coulter will do or say (or stop saying) anything Rove wants.
