Jews have done outstandingly well in multi-cultural settings, but have also suffered much persecution. That is what helped get Israel a state. There is too much hate between Jews & Muslims for Jews to have a peaceful existence without controlling their own destiny. I don't see any way around that. So I grudgingly support ethnic states there, and as a result I'm more inclined to support them in other places of the globe as well. Perhaps after 3 or 4 generations it will be clear what the problems with that approach are, and perhaps people will find a better way to get along. I don't know.
