Apparently prices are higher in the US. Here the 3700+ costs more than half of what the 3.6GHz P4 does, which obviously is still a bargain. The single-core 3500+ is $185 and 3800+ is $285, neither of which have fallen much recently.

I will say almost no one should buy that single-core 3.4GHz P4 even after it falls to $163. The dual-core 3.4GHz Pentium D 945 will be offered at the same price.
