I am very long CAD cash, physical gold/platinum, Vermilion, Blackrock Venture (awaiting already announced take over by shell), Canadian Oil Sands, Paramount Resources, Petrobank Energy (not the trust),

Somewhat long other non-USD/USD cash, Bear Funds, Southern Cross, Peyto, Maurel et Prom, Suncor, starter stake Silver ETF,

Residual long Connacher

Taster long Falcon Oil

I am short housing (direct short and puts), and housing consumer discretionary, financial, regional banks via puts on ETFs

Of the liquid stuff, I am 60 cash and 40 equity (including puts and bear funds)

Of the liquid equity, I am about 70 long and 30 short

I am comfortable with whatever may come my way, so far, at least for the next few days.

Today I am at 11.67% YTD gain, down 0.69 from yesterday.

I expect resumption of bear market, 2002-2003, but recovery of PM and possibly oil/gas, due to genuine inflation, as opposed to robust economic activities.
