Doug, Re: 7% X2 in Q1:>

LOL.

only ~7% of total shipments in Q1 were X2 and that represented an increase of ~3% from the prior quarter

Jeez. If X2 is only increasing at 3%/Q it's going to take, ..., a long time for them to amount to anything.

On the other hand, if X2 sales are increasing by #2 each Q they'll grow a little faster. But if they grow **2 growth would be impressive indeed.

How long do you expect it to take for X2 to amount to something?

@Doug - X2 Q1
The key point in my message was "official" - I don't know,
whether you call Mercury official - if yes, I could quote
Citigroup or Hans Mosesman, but this doesn't make it more
true ...

"
BTW, it's spelled "pity" not "pitty".
"

Thanks for the correction. When you want, we could also write
each other in german language ...

doug,

And Mercury tracks exactly what, again?
Are they retail or OEM or what?

Regards,
Mike

Re: 7% X2 in Q1

That should at least be in the same ballpark as what Intel was shipping in the first quarter. In the Intel roadmap about 12% of Q1 mainstream/performance CPUs were expected to be dual core. By the time Celeron are added to the mix total Intel dual-core shipments should have been under 10%.
