Lowry's has been warning for several months about the internals and deterioration of market indications. They think we are entering an emerging bear market. They feel with the S and P down only 6%, its not too late to assume a defensive posture as a 20% decline in this index could unfold.

They go on to talk about their study of history and 90% downside days, begging that there are more of them in store until prices get low enough where investors are comfortable accumulating stocks for the long term and and until a 90% upside day on enthusiastic buying emerges. Until then, they are extremely cautious and have advised the sidelines.
