I think we all agree that the coalition allies didn't have a U.N. resolution or "permission" to invade Iraq.

And there is no "may" about it.........the coalition of the willing interpreted resolution 1441 and particularly these three words..........."…all necessary means…" as serious and took it to heart. I guess I sense a tinge of regret in your final comment and I think I was right when I further read that you believe the U.S. and the coalition was "disingenuous" in making that decision. I also believe this is the major division between those of us that do support the war and those of us that don't.

Sorry if I misinterpreted your meaning.

We may have "interpreted" 1441 as you describe, but we knew darn well that we did not have the SC's "permission" for invasion in any way. We chose to do it regardless.</bi>
