I think the worse part of it is that there is a whole cottage industry of media that have no regard whatsoever for truth. It's all about spin. And it damages the debate in the country when it is impossible to ascertain what the real truth is. I would like to see some consequences for anyone who writes an article that is demonstrably false. But I doubt that will happen except for rarely.
