Ward Cleaver should be shot for what he said. For Coulter it should be far milder punishment, she should be made to parade naked through new brunswick a la Lady Godiva. She has the hair to do it with all necessary modesty.

And "only" liberals are taken to task by the conservative establishment- (to be as general as you were being- by which I mean both of us could probably find a few exceptions to the general establishment polarization, but only a few.) Poitical establishments are looking at things politically, it is expected that they will not eat their own, is it not? What Ward said is horrible. I have never paid attention to him, and did not realize he was a figure on the same level as Coulter, and I don't think I read his remarks, but his remarks are terrible. That does not excuse Coulter telling widows they are happy their husbands are dead, or calling them names. That seems beyond the pale to me. The double standard is not obvious. Both sides are horrible, and both sides say inexcusable things, imo. Neither side is excused by the rudeness of the other. I don't accept that.
