I was on the other side then, so it was you who bashed me. (g)

But I stopped the pepper gas cannister from getting to you. The cop didn't have a great arm and it landed at my feet instead of the demonstrators.

No you cant believe everything our govt says but otoh, you cannot dismiss all of it either.

Isn't that why we strive for open government? So we can actually see what the truth is.

I don't know about you, but when someone says "Trust me" I grab my wallet and hold it tightly.

Many on the left cant find one good thing. Many on the right are still like that cop you left behind.

It's a continuum. I agree that's the case on the extreme fringes. The next standard deviation in, both sides have similar grasps of the truth. The ones on the left insist on not wanting to repeat the Pinocet[s]; the ones on the right don't want to hear about the Pinocet[s], we learned our lesson, this time it's different. Neither side yields until they get acknowledgement, which the other side won't give. So it looks like the fringes. The next standard deviation in, you can't tell the difference from the right and the left; they're sprinkled around the center line and mostly indistinguishable.

The ones around the center line, aren't on SI political threads. They're doing something more valuable with their time. Hopefully.
