gz,

This whole pricing scheme is bizaare...who the hell wants to play by Intel's rules...

Intel is trashing SC pricing now, and AMD is responding. Intel is also trashing DC pricing, and AMD needs to respond shortly, in July as mas said.

Let's compare my prices with AMD price list at the end of August, and you will see that my prices will turn out to be not entirely bizzare.

I think AMD can maintain ASP in the 90s, but there will be some pressure on gross margins as DC will eat up more silicon and Fab 36 depreciation will kick in full force. That will be offset somewhat by use of 300mm wafers.

Maybe AMD should start thinking about elimination A64 3000 now, 3200 in September, and as i posted, introduce higher clocked SC chips, mainly of Venice core.
