She posted that: Kofi Annan, the Secretary General of the United Nations, speaking on the invasion, said, "I have indicated it was not in conformity with the UN charter. From our point of view, from the charter point of view, it was illegal."' Opinions being what they are and after further review of U.N. Security Council resolutions, she was correctly questioned about that assertion. A bunch of caring individuals chimed in and worked over the question, and some how......as it usually does.......it became personal. In any event, I really don't want to rehash this old argument. In the real world nothing is perfect and there will always be different goals and several ways to accomplish those goals. I have to admit that I've just plain run out of patience. After millions of explanations and reasoned attempts to defend the actions of the U.S. and its allies I really don't care any more. We are where we are. I don't consider it a mess and I don't think we've come close to seeing the price we will have to pay to protect freedom. IMO most of the attacks upon this nation, its President, its people and its ideals are unjustified and unreasonable. What is most heartbreaking and wretched is the hateful criticism from our very own. There isn't a darned thing wrong with criticism, but it loses all legitimacy when it is laced with hatred, and there is no denying that hatred is what motivates the left in this country. I don't know what they will do or where they will direct thier anger if/when they are defeated in the 2008 Presidential election, but at the rate they are going that is exactly what will happen. They are just too unreasonable and child like to run our very vulnerable nation right now.
