Well for whatever it's worth from a rookie i think it makes good sense to dip your toe back in here.Like you i like going home long on the weekend, lots can happen over a weekend in this mixed up world.I'm buying the lows but i'm still light from where i was in the 700 range.I got my lesson with the spooz on that falling knife,so i'm careful not to over extend.I'm selling my silver mini i bought yesterday, and hopefully 1 mini gold i got yesterday that is still below water.I think i will heed your advice on silver though, that little rascal can really move. Thanks for caring and let's hope they grind that bottom out soon.I hope you keep the thread open but understand why you may choose not to.All the best to you if you do,i appreciate you taking the time to help me.tim

Ol Blue ....

>>>>>>I don't know what I'll do with the thread, it seems to have served it's purpose.

I'm tempted to start a new position right now. I think the Dollar had it's day in the Sun and it's likely time to start to position once again.

I'm ready for you to handle these two ....
a) sugar
b) lumber

oh, btw ... just to let you know that senility has actually become provable in my case ===
turned sixty five(65) in April
kinda felt it approaching in Feb when I built my 37yr old son a new set of sticks
decided in March to build myself a new set
waited til birthday to "officially" declare the condition confirmed
went to the driving range five(5) times and have played two(2) rounds since

Now recall that I haven't played a single round, not even hit balls at the driving range in two decades ...

even when I started playing waaaaaaay back in college I have never broken a hunnert *(on the topside, that is) and was dreading, I mean reallllllly dreading the first trip to one of the semi-private clubs at one of the local links

now, I counted ONLY the good strokes .... the first time === had 28 .... son-in-law kept score .. he shoots 80 and he tells me I shoot 96 .. so I wasn't completely mortified

second time week before last I DO keep score and he shoots 82 and I shoot 84 ... I even strung six pars back to back at one point ... two in the drink, one lost, three chili dips, and two wormburners ... so... I'm gaining

have built maybe fifty sticks or so for this two rounds ....

am settling down a bit on the experimentation with shafts, grips, heads, swing weights, lengths, etc now that a partial piece of my swing is coming back ....

used to hit S400 True Tempers on the irons and stiff Fenwick graphites on the woods .... really thought I might have physically collapsed to the point where I'd need Lady or, hopefully senior shaft ... after all I do NOW have a double hernia the docs want to cut on me to eliminate .... think I"ll continue to balk on that for a while

can't hit the stiffs ===== can't begin to load em
can't it the seniors ===== can't come close to getting any power/distance
Reg flex is my shaft now -----

Penley Stealth 70 reg flex has worked great on the woods

Penley Hybrid Heater reg flex has proved to be THE shaft for the hybrids

still haven't fully made up my mind on the R400 TrueTemper steel stuck onto a moveable weight iron head ---- similar to the TaylorMade drivers and the Adams drivers
or
Exxar Mizzuno shafts reg flex graphite on Mizzy cavity backs

have built and can't settle on two GREAT putters ....

just thought I'd let you know that Mar is considering having me committed into the looney bin for taking this foolish game back up after close to twenty years ....

if it comes to that, I might have to visit -----
is the position of housewatcher/garage attendant/flunky still open and if so, can I stay in the guest quarters ???????

I promise I won't get the Bentley above 70mph
