Which will compete against........the high end of Intel's pentium d. Actually, the mid range (4400/4600) x2 competes pretty well against the 960, so the 5000/5200 will get a premium over the high end of the pentium d.

Doug, you must have very little respect for the intelligence of AMD management...they will simply pump out more server parts and price their desktops accordingly...I didn't know that Intel could supply Apple, Dell, HP, Toshiba, Gateway etc. with all those Conroe processors...AMD will sell their processors first before Intel sells their watt sucking P4's...Has Dirk and Hector promised to let Intel have their way with the market...unbelievable...
