Just some comments for what their worth.
There are three political parties in Taiwan.The party that is in power is pushing for Taiwan's independence from China.The Chinese that I have spoken to think that the USA is supporting this party and helping to create unrest in Taiwan.They think that this party will be defeated in the next election and that Iraq will have some influence on this.

I saw this same picture in an article, which says the buldozer had already pushed the rubble into the hole. Seems it's the only picture released.
