We seem to have a large number of children in this state, Peter. They can't face the fact that you can't have reliable electricity and cheap gasoline and no power plants and refineries. They can't face the fact that bringing the state's budget back into balance (a constitutional requirement) means teachers and prison guards go without raises for a while. They can't face the fact that a guarantee of funding made to the teachers many years ago before Gray Davis destroyed the state's surplus means that guarantee is worthless. They can't face the fact that they will have put up with potholes and no new roads for a while until this mess is straightened out. They've become New Yorkers, but worse. They WILL get theirs, though. You can't dodge reality.
