Heard someone on bloomberg yesterday make the case that repeal of the estate tax would actually increase tax collections as rich folks would have no way to shield their cap gains which would have to be paid when money passed sans estate tax to heirs. According to him there is more to get from declared cap gains than from estate tax formulas.

LOL. It's even scarier than that. Rightwingers don't care if the estate tax applies to them, they're doing it for the sake of their masters whom they slavishly kowtow to.

Rightwingers really are the mental serfs of the world. That's why they're able to do the most immoral things, they don't think for themselves.

IMO this is also why Republicans are Republicans, they aren't required to think. In fact, they're required not to think. Progressives, OTOH, are required to think and to defend and support their positions with facts and analysis.

Rightwingers are truly the political stupids of the world. Unfortunately the world has a great deal of stupid in it.
