The guy has pitched less than 230 innings in two plus seasons going back to the day he signed the $32.5 million three-year deal before the 2004 season. Wood sure was lucky that he cashed in after the 2003 season. Since then, we have gotten a total of 12 wins from Kerry. Yep, 12 wins in two plus years. Let's go out on a limb and say that Kerry wins three more games this year, which I believe is a stretch. But let's give him the benefit of the doubt, okay? $32.5 million for 15 wins. Hmmm...I guess that would be over $2 million for every win. As Ira Gershwin once wrote, "Nice Work If You Can Get It" (and if you can get it, oh won't you tell me how.)...>>
