According to Phsychiatrist Dr. David Hawkins, the high one experiences from drinking and drugs is because that experience is actually in there... and being released, while lower emotions which manifest a 'busy mind' (left brain) are blocked out or quieted for a period of time.

Who knows.

And pot jack (read my post to DAK regarding Carl Sagan's thoughts). What is interesting is that most of the great American writer's were drinkers. In fact I can think of more drinkers than non drinkers-lol.

I have wondered about that for years.
