Well, I was in the midwest and I can say that I never ever in my life received anywhere near such annoying, badgering telemarketing as from AT&T when I was there. They would not take no for an answer. The basic cable was not very good, and I had a huge fiasco with Microsoft MSN screwing up my computer when I signed up for high speed with them and then cancelled (stuff they secretly and inaccessibly stored on my computer and then did not clean up so it caused problems). Back in Toronto it was a big improvement -- US channels plus some good Canadian ones on top with Rogers, and cheaper. Shaw is not so cheap in Calgary now but I have had almost no problems with service, and I'm satisfied with the cable package.
