<<Odd that no short has addressed the claims made by DIC and Hitachi representatives - or commented on the fact that they were willing to be in the same room with a group of executives who, if I understand the shorts' fable correctly, are the leaders of a soon-to-be-bankrupt company and who risk jailtime.>>

As yet, I still have not listened to the entire recording, but based on everything repeated here, I don't see any "claims" that could not vaporize as easily as all the past claims made by licensees.
Having capacity does not mean using it for SPD production.
"Shipping" has always meant samples, and unless royalties are reported, continues to do so. That "news" is old news.
Have X number of people "on the project" does not mean they spend much time on SPD. Remember the Hitach "Sales Director for SPD" who attended the last meeting? Where is the evidence he spent any time promoting SPD?

Who knows what it takes to get someone to stand up at an RFI Annual Meeting and give a little talk? What we have here is the magician's trick of distracting attention with activity in one hand while the trick is being done with the other. In this case, the other hand is removing money from investors pockets.

Instead of looking at what was said, it is important to look at what was not said.

No revenues from royalties.
No projects or installations announced.
No end-user licensees talking.
No word about all the "maybe inactive" licensees.
No reductions in salaries for Bob and Joe.

This is the REFR discussion board.

Good to know!

Any comments on the recent revelation that SPD film is being mass produced by Hitachi and Dainippon?

Now where have I heard that song and dance before...?

"We are extremely pleased to report that mass production of SPD film began during the first quarter of 2002 and SPD Inc. is now offering shipment one month after receiving orders from its customers."

Man, that sure was a winner of a time to buy REFR, wasn't it?

(Oh what the heck, why stop with a snippet. That whole 2002 letter is freaking hilarious in retrospect. Especially the parts you so thoughtfully highlighted for us: Message 17422512 )

"how much in revenue, given Hitachi & DIC's figures will RFI likely be making in royalties by the end of 2007?"

I'm willing to go double-or-nothing on another round of "less than one half million".
