"just making the point that getting rid of one scumbag is going to make virtually no difference" Your defeatist attitude comes through loud and clear in a couple of ways in the statement above. You seem to think one of the top three terrorists in the world (if not the top one) is just "one scumbag". And you think his death will make no difference. Wrong on both counts. With the attitude you display so prominently I'm surprised you can even get up in the morning. "as long as we continue to provide a target rich environment to these whackos by sending our young men to die, they will continue to be more than happy to accommodate us" You give our military no credibility by portraying them as sitting ducks. Glad they don't think, behave or act as your words indicate that you would. The idea that we should let them be so our military won't get hurt is about as lame as I can imagine. They are fighting bad folks that need to be killed. Running from them or letting them be is flat out absolute insanity. Unless you are on their side. Maybe you are.
