i believe truck delivery terminals did away with splash loading in the 70's. you may have few top loading distributors but i do not know of any major with a top loading facility. It is all bottom loading at rates over 1000 gallons a minute. no one person could hold down a drop tube throwing out that kind of pressure.
also it captures the vapors and returns it to a holding tank, epa and vapor recovery came in around late 70's i expect.

sometimes you have to a little careful about what the writer is selling to the public. same with ethanol i expect is computerized and sent through an injection system while loading i doubt you have any problem with a mix.
